Pineapple Chainsaw Carving
Pineapple Chainsaw Carving

The pineapple sculpture at the entrance to Mountain Meadows Lodge is a chainsaw carving by local artist Barre Pinske from Chester, Vermont. The carving was done in place (on scaffolding) on the base of a red fir that we took down which had become diseased. The pineapple (the symbol of hospitality) was carved out of the tree by this very talented artist. The detail and accuracy of this work of art is marvelous.

We encourage you to visit his studio and gallery.
