"This fully restored 1857 Lodge and farmhouse is so movie-perfect you expect to see Bing, Danny and Rosie come dancing around the corner of the barn. Nestled - in every sense of the word - in the beauty of Vermont's Green Mountains alongside a 100 acre lake, this is the perfect Vermont getaway"

"For a taste of Vintage Vermont"
(Family Fun Magazine, Winter 2003)
"Mountain Meadows Lodge retains the priceless warm patina of a '40s or '50s ski lodge, carefully updated. It's long been a family and skier favorite for its bounteous meals (buffet with prime rib and vegetarian lasagna, homemade bread and desserts), and its facilities which include an outdoor hot tub, game room, sauna, TV/movie room and onsite massage therapist."

Family friendly lodging

Mountain Meadows Lodge is a popular family-orientated resort, situated in the New England town of Killington on Kent Lake, in the midst of National Forest next to Gifford Woods State Park. The resort comprises a three-storey lodge and farmhouse with sauna, outdoor hot-tub, bar, games room, dining room and living room, with a large rustic fireplace and aspects of the lake through a window spanning an entire wall. With breathtaking views of the lake and woodland and adjacent to mountains, the serene location is ideal for retreat and relaxation, hiking and water- and winter-sport holidays.

The original structure of the main lodge and farmhouse date back to 1857 and the property has been offering hospitality, as either a Bed & Breakfast or Inn, for over 45 years. Seventeen rooms are now on offer, each with its own private bath and some with balconies overlooking the lake. Children and adults alike will be charmed by the farm animals living on the grounds and fascinated by a chainsaw carving of a huge pineapple! The animals are friendly and approachable and a food basket can even be provided to hand-feed them. The pineapple sculpture, situated at the entrance to the Lodge, was carved by a talented local artist, Barre Pinske and is the symbol of hospitality.

There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy winter sports, with cross-country skiing tracks both on and adjacent to the lodge and downhill ski runs within easy reach. Other popular winter activities for the whole family to enjoy include snow-shoeing, sledding, tubing and ice-skating and there is even the chance to experience riding in a horse-drawn carriage.
